Connect
- 1Go to Settings → Integrations and choose Connect Close. Any owner or admin can do this once for the whole workspace.
- 2Sign in to Close, pick your organization and allow Veew. Close grants the same access your own login has, so a user who can edit custom fields is best: Veew can then add its four "Veew" opportunity fields for you. Veew reads opportunities, leads and contacts; it never edits your value, status or contacts.
- 3You land back in Veew with Close showing as connected and lead and opportunity fields mapped by default. Adjust the mapping under Settings → Fields, where every standard and custom field on opportunities, leads and contacts can be picked.
Import an opportunity
Importing copies the opportunity's details into Veew so a document can be written from them. Your Close record is the source; the imported copy is what the document reads. Close opportunities have no title of their own, so Veew names the deal after its lead, the way Close does.
- 1From Deals, choose Import from Close and search by lead (company) name; every matching lead's opportunities are listed, newest first.
- 2Pick one. The lead, the linked contact (when a contact field is mapped), value and mapped fields come across. Value arrives in currency units, not Close's cents.
- 3Later, use the deal's Refresh action to pull the latest mapped fields again. Your local edits are kept.
What goes back to Close
When a proposal is sent or accepted, Veew adds a note to the lead, so it shows in the lead's activity timeline where the opportunity lives. Four custom opportunity fields (the latest Veew document, its status, when it was last viewed, and total views) are kept current as buyers read.
If Close won't let the person who connected create custom fields, the note is still added and Settings → Integrations lists the four fields for an admin to create under Settings → Customize → Custom Fields → Opportunities. Veew picks them up by name on the next send.
