Kickoff Deck Template

The kickoff is the first meeting after the signature, and half the room wasn't in the sales cycle. So this deck doesn't sell. It restates what was bought and why, repeats the success measures word for word, names every person and what they're accountable for, and ends with dates somebody has to write down. Eight slides, warm and organized, visibly not a pitch.

Clinics in scope
50%
Shorter check-in

Half this room wasn't in the sales cycle, so: Harlow Medical Group bought digital intake for all nine clinics, to end paper forms and the re-keying behind them, with check-in time cut in half before flu season. Everything in this deck follows from that sentence.

02

What success looks like

The three things we agreed to be measured on.

Check-in time halved

From 11 minutes to under 6, measured at the front desk. Baseline taken in week 1.

Forms done before arrival

70% of patients finish intake on their phone before the visit. Today: none.

No re-keying

Intake data lands in the patient record directly. Today staff re-type every form.

03

Who's who

Names and what each person is accountable for, on both sides.

Who this template is for

  • Implementation and onboarding teams running the first customer meeting
  • Sales-to-delivery handoffs, where context usually gets lost
  • Projects where week one depends on the customer's access and decisions
Where the AI comes in

Veew drafts the kickoff from the closed deal: what was bought from the proposal, the success measures copied over verbatim, the plan from the dates you agreed. The AI is told not to rewrite or soften the goals, because a kickoff that quietly restates them is how a QBR turns into an argument. Present from the browser or export a PDF; PowerPoint export is on the Team plan.

What's inside

The slides, and the job each one does

01

Why we're here

What was bought, to solve what, by when, for the people hearing it for the first time. No selling: the decision is made.

02

What success looks like

The three measures from the proposal, copied word for word with their baselines. The slide everyone will be held to.

03

Who's who

Names and accountabilities on both sides, including who holds the keys to access and integrations.

04

The plan

Setup to first review in five phases, each ending in something the customer can see.

05

What we need from you

Access, decisions, people, comms: a name and a date on each, because a vague ask here is a delay in week three.

06

How we'll work & before we meet again

Weekly call, shared channel, one decision list, an escalation path; then three actions with owners this week.

FAQ

What should a project kickoff deck include?

Why the project exists and what was agreed, how success will be measured, who's on the team and what each person owns, the timeline, what you need from the customer, how you'll communicate, and the first actions with owners and dates.

Who should attend a kickoff meeting?

The executive sponsor (at least for the start), the customer's project owner and admin, your implementation lead, and the account owner from the sales cycle. Anyone whose access or decision blocks week one should be in the room.

How long should a kickoff meeting be?

Sixty to ninety minutes for most implementations. This deck runs eight slides so most of the time goes to the plan and the 'what we need from you' list, which is where the real conversation happens.
