How buyers ask
Every shared document and every deal space has a place for the buyer to ask a question or leave a comment. They don't need an account. They give their name and email the first time, and their browser remembers them after that. If you sent the link from Veew, it already knows who they are.
Questions are on every plan, including Free.
- On a document, the side menu has Ask a question, or Questions with a count once there are some. It opens the Questions panel.
- On a computer, pointing at a section shows Comment on this section. That ties the question to the section, so you can see what it was about.
- On a deal space, Questions sits at the foot of the page, for anything about the deal as a whole.
- Buyers see the whole thread, including your replies, and can answer back with Reply.
How you're told
- Email: the person who created the document (or the deal, for a deal space question) gets the question in full, with a Reply in Veew button. To turn this off, go to Profile → Notifications and untick When a buyer asks a question.
- If you reply to that email directly, it goes to the buyer's inbox but does not appear on their page. To answer on the page, use Reply in Veew.
- Slack: with Slack connected (Starter and Team), the deal's channel hears about every question. If the deal has no channel set, the workspace default channel does.
- CRM: on Starter and Team, a question on a document made from a CRM deal is added to that deal as a note. Deal space questions are not.
- Home: an unanswered question on a document stays at the top of Needs you for up to seven days, or until you resolve it.
- Webhooks: with API access (Team), a question on a document also sends the document.commented event.
Where to answer
Questions on a document are on its Insights page under Questions, with a count of how many are waiting on you. On Free, the Insights page shows the questions under its upgrade card, so you can still answer them. Every question on a deal, from the deal space and from each of its documents, is also on the deal page under Questions from the buyer's company.
Draft a reply with AI
Draft a reply, next to the Reply button, fills the box with a first draft. It is on every plan. Nothing is sent until you have read it, changed what you like, and chosen Reply.
The draft is written only from the document the buyer was reading, the deal intelligence brief, the approved proof in your Library and your brand's tone of voice. It never invents prices, discounts, dates or commitments. If those sources don't answer the question, the draft says what the document does say and that you will come back with the rest.
