Connect Attio and import deals

Pull the company, person, value and mapped attributes from an Attio deal, and leave notes and Veew attributes on it.

Before you connect

Attio ships with the Deals object switched off. A workspace admin turns it on under Workspace settings → Objects → Deals; without it there is nothing for Veew to import, and Settings → Integrations will say so.

Connect

  1. 1Go to Settings → Integrations and choose Connect Attio. Any owner or admin can do this once for the whole workspace.
  2. 2Attio asks you to allow Veew. Until Veew is listed in Attio's App Store you'll see a note that the app hasn't been reviewed by Attio yet; that's expected. An Attio admin is best: Veew can then add its four "Veew" attributes to deals for you. Veew reads deals, companies and people; it never edits your value, stage or people.
  3. 3You land back in Veew with Attio showing as connected and company and deal attributes mapped by default. Adjust the mapping under Settings → Fields, where every standard and custom attribute on deals, companies and people can be picked.

Import a deal

Importing copies the deal's details into Veew so a document can be written from them. Your Attio record is the source; the imported copy is what the document reads.

  1. 1From Deals, choose Import from Attio and search by deal name or company name.
  2. 2Pick it. The company, the first associated person (when a contact field is mapped), value and mapped attributes come across. Attio deals have no standard close date; map your own close-date attribute under Settings → Fields if you keep one.
  3. 3Later, use the deal's Refresh action to pull the latest mapped attributes again. Your local edits are kept.

What goes back to Attio

When a proposal is sent or accepted, Veew adds a note to the deal, so it shows in the deal's timeline. Four attributes on deals (the latest Veew document, its status, when it was last viewed, and total views) are kept current as buyers read.

If the person who connected can't change the workspace's objects, the note is still added and Settings → Integrations lists the four attributes, with their API slugs and types, for an admin to create under Workspace settings → Objects → Deals → Attributes. Veew picks them up by slug on the next send.
