Export, delete or hand over a workspace

Download everything in your workspace, give it to someone else, leave it, delete it, or delete your own account.

Export your data

Owners and admins can download the whole workspace as a ZIP, on every plan.

  1. 1
    Go to Settings → Workspace.
  2. 2
Under Export your data, choose Export your data. The ZIP downloads as soon as it's built.
  • Inside is one JSON file per kind of data: members, documents with their content and published versions, templates, deals, contacts, meeting notes, share links and their engagement, deal spaces, comments, Library, products, fields, brand kits and saved sections. A README.txt explains each file.
  • Uploaded files (logos, pictures, collateral) are listed in files.csv, each with a download link. The files themselves are not in the ZIP.
  • Not included: share-link passwords (they are stored hashed), integration tokens, and billing details. Invoices are under Settings → Billing → Manage billing.
  • You can export once every 10 minutes per workspace.

Hand the workspace to someone else

Every workspace has one owner, and only the owner can delete the workspace or hand it on.

  1. 1
    Go to Settings → Team.
  2. 2
On the person's row, choose Make owner, then confirm.
  3. 3
They become the owner and you become an admin, so you keep everything an admin can do. The subscription belongs to the workspace, so billing doesn't change.

Leave a workspace

To leave a workspace, ask an owner or admin to remove you under Settings → Team. When they do, they choose who your deals and documents are handed to.

The owner can't be removed, so if that's you, make someone else the owner first. To leave every workspace and remove your sign-in, delete your account (below).

Delete a workspace

Only the owner can delete a workspace, and it can't be undone. Export your data first if you want a copy.

  1. 1
Go to Settings → Workspace and, under Delete this workspace, choose Delete workspace….
  2. 2
Type the workspace name to confirm, then choose Delete workspace.
  3. 3
You land in your other workspace, or, if this was your only one, you're asked to set up or join a workspace.
  • Every document, deal, share link, template and upload is deleted, and everyone in the workspace is removed from it. Share links stop working straight away.
  • A paid subscription is canceled the same day, with no refund for the rest of the period.
  • A custom domain is released, so you can use it elsewhere.
  • Call-notes connections stop sending calls to Veew, and Veew's Slack access is revoked. CRM connections are removed from Veew; to take the Veew app out of your CRM as well, uninstall it there.
  • If the subscription can't be canceled or the domain can't be released, nothing is deleted and Veew tells you so. Try again in a minute, or write to support@veew.ai.

Delete your account

Your account is your sign-in, your profile and your notification settings. Before you press anything, the Delete your account section tells you what will happen to each workspace you're in.

  1. 1
Open Profile from the account menu and find Delete your account.
  2. 2
Choose Delete account…, type your email address to confirm, then choose Delete account. You are signed out.
  • A workspace where you're the only person is deleted along with your account, exactly as described above, including canceling its subscription.
  • In a workspace with other people that you don't own, you're removed. Your deals, documents and drafts stay there, handed to the workspace owner.
  • If you own a workspace that other people are in, you can't delete your account yet. First make someone else the owner under Settings → Team, or delete that workspace.
