What the app does
The HubSpot app lets you start a proposal, sales deck or one-pager from a HubSpot deal, so the company, contacts, amount and the fields you choose come in without retyping, and it reports back to the deal when the buyer acts on it.
- Import a deal into Veew. Search your HubSpot deals from Veew and bring one in, with its company and contacts.
- Start from the deal record. The Veew card on a HubSpot deal has New proposal and New pitch deck buttons and lists the deal's Veew documents.
- Stay current. When a deal's name, amount, close date or stage changes in HubSpot, Veew refreshes its copy.
- Write back. A note on the deal timeline when a document is sent or accepted, and four Veew properties on the deal that track the latest document and its views. Write-back is part of the Starter and Team plans.
What Veew never changes
Veew never changes your deal amount, stage, pipeline, owner, contacts, companies, or any property you didn't map. The only things it writes are notes and the properties in its own Veew group.
Before you start
- A HubSpot account on any edition, including the free CRM. To install an app you need to be a Super Admin or have the App Marketplace access permission in HubSpot.
- A Veew workspace where you are an owner or admin. You can create one for free during the install. Importing deals and the deal card work on every plan; write-back to HubSpot needs Starter or Team.
- One HubSpot account connects to one Veew workspace, and the connection is shared by everyone in that workspace.
Install from the HubSpot App Marketplace
- 1On the Veew listing in the HubSpot App Marketplace, click Install.
- 2Choose the HubSpot account to connect, if you have more than one.
- 3Review the permissions Veew asks for (explained under Data Veew reads and writes) and click Connect app.
- 4Sign in to Veew, or create your workspace if you're new. If you were already signed in, this step is skipped.
- 5HubSpot confirms the connection and you land on Settings → Integrations in Veew, with HubSpot shown as connected.
Or connect from Veew
- 1In Veew, go to Settings → Integrations and click Connect HubSpot.
- 2Sign in to HubSpot if asked, and choose the account to connect.
- 3Review the permissions and click Connect app.
- 4You return to Settings → Integrations, with HubSpot shown as connected.
What connecting sets up
- A starting field map: company name, industry and website, plus deal name, amount and close date. You can change it any time.
- A Veew property group on HubSpot deals with four properties: latest document, document status, last viewed, and total views. Their labels start with "Veew" so they are easy to find.
- Notifications when a deal's name, amount, close date or stage changes, or when it is deleted, so Veew's copy stays current.
Map your fields
The field map decides which HubSpot properties fill which Veew fields, and so which facts the AI and your templates can use.
- 1In Veew, go to Settings → Fields. Once HubSpot is connected, the table has a HubSpot column.
- 2For each field, pick the HubSpot deal, company or contact property that should fill it. Only properties of a compatible type are offered: a number field takes number properties, a date field takes dates.
- 3To bring in a custom property, click New field…, create the Veew field, then map it. Changes apply to the next import or refresh.
Contacts
The deal's contacts come across without any mapping. Map contact properties only if you want a custom one, such as a contact's region, in your documents.
Add the Veew card to deal records
The card is how reps start a proposal from inside HubSpot. A HubSpot admin adds it once for everyone.
- 1In HubSpot, click the gear (top right) to open Settings. Under Data Management click Objects, then choose Deals.

- 2Open the Record Customization tab and click your Default view (or the team view your reps use).

- 3In the right sidebar column, click + Add card.

- 4Switch to the Card library tab, search for Veew, and click Add card.

- 5Drag the card where you want it (the top of the sidebar works well), then click Save.

- 6Open any deal. The Veew card shows New proposal and New pitch deck and lists the documents already made for that deal.

Import a deal
- 1In Veew, open Deals and click Import from HubSpot.
- 2Search by deal or company name, or pick from your most recently updated deals.
- 3Pick the deal. Veew creates its own deal with the mapped fields, the associated company, and up to ten of the deal's contacts. The first contact becomes the primary one, the person {{contact.first_name}} and the other contact variables address; you can choose a different primary on the deal page.
- Importing the same HubSpot deal again updates the Veew deal you already have rather than making a second one.
Start a document from HubSpot
- 1On a HubSpot deal, click New proposal or New pitch deck on the Veew card.
- 2Veew opens in a new tab and asks you to confirm. Click Continue: the deal is imported (or refreshed) and the document is created from it.
- 3Back in HubSpot, the card lists the new document with its status and views.
Keeping deals current
When a deal's name, amount, close date or stage changes in HubSpot, Veew refreshes its copy within a few minutes. A field you edited in Veew keeps your edit, and the deal page offers HubSpot's newer value so you can take it if you want. Click Refresh on a Veew deal to pull the latest at once. If the deal is deleted in HubSpot, the Veew deal is marked so and its documents are kept.
Write-back to HubSpot
On Starter and Team, Veew writes two things to deals it imported. On Free it imports and stays current, but writes nothing to HubSpot.
- A note on the deal timeline when a document is sent (with the link and who it went to), accepted (with who accepted and the option they chose), commented on by the buyer, or its form is answered.
- The Veew properties on the deal, updated when a document is published or its status changes, and as buyers view it: the latest document's link, its status, when it was last viewed, and its total views. Use them in HubSpot views, reports and workflows.
Data Veew reads and writes
These are the permissions (scopes) the app asks for when you connect, and what each is for. Veew reads a deal only when you import it, start a document from it, or HubSpot reports a change to a deal you imported. It does not copy your whole CRM.

- What Veew does with it
- Reads the deal you import or start from: name, amount, close date, stage, pipeline, and any deal property you map. Writes only Veew's own deal properties.

- What Veew does with it
- Adds a note to the deal's timeline when a document is sent, accepted, commented on, or its form is answered. HubSpot's Notes API requires the contacts write scope; Veew never creates, edits or deletes a contact.
- Scopes
- crm.objects.contacts.write
- Imported deal data stays in your workspace, where only its members can see it.
- Access tokens are stored server-side and never sent to the browser.
- The privacy policy covers how data is handled and how to have it deleted.
Disconnect
Disconnecting stops Veew talking to HubSpot but leaves the app installed in HubSpot, so you can reconnect later.
- 1In Veew, go to Settings → Integrations (owners and admins only).
- 2On the HubSpot card, click Disconnect and confirm.
What disconnecting does to your data
- Veew deletes its stored tokens and asks HubSpot to revoke them, so it can no longer read or write anything in your HubSpot account.
- Deals you imported, and the documents made from them, stay in Veew. They stop refreshing from HubSpot.
- Nothing is deleted in HubSpot. Notes Veew added and the values in the Veew properties stay on your deals.
- The Veew card on deal records says the account isn't connected, until you connect again.
- Your field map is kept, so reconnecting picks up where you left off.
Uninstall
Uninstalling removes the app from your HubSpot account entirely.
- 1In HubSpot, click the gear (top right) to open Settings.
- 2In the left sidebar, go to Integrations → Connected Apps.
- 3Find Veew, click Actions, then Uninstall.
- 4Type uninstall in the dialog to confirm, and click Uninstall.
What uninstalling does to your data
- HubSpot revokes Veew's access at once. Veew can no longer read or write anything, and the HubSpot card in Veew's Settings → Integrations asks you to reconnect.
- The Veew card disappears from deal records, and HubSpot stops sending deal changes.
- Notes Veew added, and the Veew property group with its values, stay in HubSpot. To remove the properties, delete them under Settings → Properties (filter by the Veew group).
- Imported deals and documents stay in Veew. To remove the connection there too, click Disconnect in Settings → Integrations. To have your Veew data deleted, delete the workspace or email support@veew.ai.
Troubleshooting
- "Only workspace owners and admins can connect integrations." Ask an owner or admin of your Veew workspace to connect, or to change your role under Settings → Team.
- The connection expired or was refused. The link Veew sends you to HubSpot with is valid for 15 minutes. Start again from Settings → Integrations → Connect HubSpot.
- "Reconnect to enable write-back." The connection was made before Veew asked for write access, or the person who connected can't edit deals in HubSpot. Click Reconnect; importing keeps working meanwhile.
- Nothing appears on the HubSpot deal. Write-back needs the Starter or Team plan, and only deals imported into Veew get notes and properties.
- The Veew card says the account isn't connected. The HubSpot account the card is in isn't the one connected to your workspace. Check which account is connected under Settings → Integrations.
- A field is empty after import. Check its mapping in Settings → Fields, and that the property has a value on that deal (or its company or contact) in HubSpot.
Support
Email support@veew.ai, use the contact form, or ask the assistant from Help inside Veew. A person replies, usually within one business day.
