Share, protect and track a document

Going live, links and PDFs, passwords and expiry, sending by email, and what Insights tells you.

Go live

  1. 1Open the document and choose Share in the top bar. Until it is live, nobody outside the workspace can see it.
  2. 2Choose Go live. Veew checks the document first (Before you publish lists any unfilled variable or empty section) and then creates the private link. Copy link puts it on your clipboard; Open the live link shows what the buyer sees.
  3. 3Keep editing freely afterwards. Nothing reaches the reader until you choose Update link; the strip in the Share dialog counts the changes since you published.
  4. 4To take a link offline, choose Change status → Set to draft in the Share dialog, or Archive from the document's row menu under Documents.

Link settings and email

Link settings in the Share dialog holds Password, Link expires, Allow PDF download, and Let them choose a package (on when the pricing offers a second package or an optional add-on; what they choose comes back with the Accept). Add a preview image at the top to control how the link looks in email, Slack or LinkedIn.

Send by email sends the link from Veew on your behalf to named recipients with a personal note; replies come to you. Once live, Download PDF is in the top bar, and sales decks also offer Download PowerPoint (editable).

Track

Every open is recorded. You are emailed on the first open and on accepts; adjust that under Profile → Notifications.

Engagement insights in the top bar (or the Insights icon on the document's row) shows unique visitors, average time per visit, time spent per section, what they chose when the proposal offers a choice, who it was sent to, and recent activity.

A buyer who accepts fills in their name, work email and a note; you are told, and they get a confirmation. A buyer who opens an expired link can ask for a new one, and that request reaches you.
