One-page template
Case Study Template
The customer story is the most forwarded document in sales, and the one a prospect is most likely to check. This template is built like a magazine page rather than a report: a line of facts that answers 'are they like us', the results before the story (a skim-reader stops at the numbers), the situation and the change side by side, and one quote in large type. The sample below is fictional; yours comes from customers who've approved it.
How Alder & Pine halved maintenance response times
| Industry: Property management | Size: 4,200 units | Region: Pacific Northwest | Customer since: 2024 |
The results
The situation
Alder & Pine manages 4,200 rental units across 31 buildings. Requests arrived by phone, email, and sticky note, coordinators re-typed them into a spreadsheet, and residents waited four days on average for a first visit.
What changed
Residents now report issues from their phone with photos, and jobs route to the right technician automatically. Rollout took five weeks, building by building, and coordinators spend their time on scheduling and vendors instead of data entry.
Residents noticed before we told them. Renewal surveys went from complaints about maintenance to compliments about it.
What made the difference
Photos with every request
Technicians arrive with the right part the first time.
One queue for everyone
Coordinators, technicians, and vendors work from the same list.
Response times on a dashboard
Building managers see slow jobs the same day, not at month end.

Who this template is for
- Sales and marketing teams turning a happy customer into proof
- Leave-behinds after a first meeting with a similar prospect
- Champions who need evidence that their peers have done this
In Veew, customer stories live in your proof library, and the AI only cites approved ones, so every figure and quote on the page traces back to something a customer agreed to. Pick a prospect and Veew uses the story closest to their industry and size, then writes the 'your turn' step for their situation.
What's inside
The sections, and the job each one does
Cover
A photograph and the outcome as a story headline, under nine words. The customer is named only if they've agreed to be.
The facts
Industry, size, region, customer since: one line that answers the reader's first question, 'are they like us?'
The results
Three numbers on a dark band, first, because a skim-reader stops here and should still leave with the story.
The situation & what changed
Two columns told as a story, not a spec: who they are, what went wrong, what they did, what's different now.
In their words
One quote, word for word and with permission, set large.
What made the difference & your turn
Three things the customer credits, in their language, then one step that connects the story to the reader.
FAQ
What should a case study include?
Who the customer is, the problem they had, what they did about it, measurable results, and a quote in their words. Put the facts a reader uses to judge relevance (industry, size, region) near the top, and the results before the narrative.
How long should a sales case study be?
One page. Long-form versions have a place on your website, but the version that gets forwarded inside a buying committee is the one that fits on a screen and leads with the results.
Do I need the customer's permission to publish a case study?
Yes, for their name, the quote, and any figures. Many customers will approve an anonymized version ('a 4,000-unit property manager') when they won't approve their name, and that's still useful proof.
